The Warm Audio BUS-COMP is a fully analogue, 2-channel stereo VCA compressor based on a classic circuit that has delivered a silky-smooth sound for decades. Stereo VCA compressors excel at controlling the dynamics of many sources, and they are widely known for their ”magic touch” on stereo mixes.
The BUS-COMP is excellent for stereo mixes, drum submixes and overheads, acoustic guitars, keyboards, piano, orchestral instruments, voice-over and a range of other sources. The BUS-COMP is primarily designed for stereo operation but can also be used successfully on mono signals. As a VCA compressor it effortlessly controls dynamics and even adds tone and depth to the audio signal in bypass.
The redevelopment of the legendary VCA compression technology was at the heart of the BUS-COMP’s design, while expanded control options and tonal possibilities were also considered. A standout feature of the BUS-COMP is the input and output transformers driven by fully discrete op-amps. Pressing the front-panel switch inserts these Cine-Mag USA transformers, made for Warm Audio, into the signal path and provides more depth, tone and vibe!
