Amp models based on those of the Vox Cambridge50
The amp models that define the sound of the Vox Mini Go series are based on the ’VET’ modelling technology used in the Vox Cambridge50, which delivers a particularly realistic and dynamic sound. Among the selectable amp models you’ll find, alongside the traditional Vox AC30, for example the model of a popular amp stack from the 1980s, a boutique amp and a high‑gain amp with powerful distortion. The selectable LINE model, on the other hand, is ideal for connecting an acoustic guitar with a pickup or a keyboard.
A new and unique vocoder offers the possibility of ’talking’ modulation effects that can make the guitar seem to speak. For this you sing or speak into a connected microphone while playing the guitar. (If no microphone is connected, the effect works dynamically via the pick attack.)
Built-in effects to refine the sounds
The effects of the VOX MINI GO series have been newly revised and deliver an even clearer sound, as heard in current music productions. The effects have also been modelled more precisely, offering even more options to shape your guitar sound. Among others you will find effect types such as chorus, phaser and octaver. Combined with the delay and reverb effects, this results in a total of eight different effect types.
Backing capability via built-in rhythm section
The built-in rhythm patterns of this series cover a wide variety of genres and metronome styles. For each genre there are three variations available, giving a total of 33 different rhythm patterns. With the selector knob you can easily choose a suitable rhythm pattern. Tempo and volume can be freely adjusted, so nothing stands in the way of a jam session with rhythm accompaniment. This function is also useful when working out new riff ideas or improving your timing.
Can also be powered by an external powerbank – the perfect choice for outdoor gigs
The Vox Mini Go series can be powered either via the supplied mains adapter or via a commercially available powerbank. This makes these amps perfect for street musicians or generally for outdoor performances. With the supplied shoulder strap you can easily take the amp anywhere, so you can play guitar anywhere, anytime.
Extensive connectivity, ideal for solo performances with guitar and vocals
In addition to a guitar input, these amplifiers also offer numerous other connection options. The microphone input volume can be adjusted separately. Furthermore, delay or reverb effects can be mixed into the microphone signal, which is ideal for a setup of acoustic guitar and vocals, for example. The amps in the series also feature a special VOCODER effect that sounds as if the guitar is speaking. This effect is achieved by singing or speaking into the connected microphone while playing the guitar.
An AUX input for connecting an external music player or another external sound source is of course also included. This means there are three different inputs available in total that can be used simultaneously (guitar, microphone, AUX).
In addition, the amplifier offers a built-in cabinet simulation that is applied at the headphone output. This cabinet simulation adds the typical characteristics of a real guitar cabinet to the signal before the power stage. This is a particularly useful feature for recording or practising with headphones.
