Tuning keys of all kinds, whether normal or crank keys, are in the possession of almost every drummer. With the Tension Watch, Tama offers a very special tuning accessory. The Tension Watch measures the surface tension of the head. In practice, this means that the watch is placed on the head and a relative measured value can be read on a dial. Using this value, it is possible to record the tuning of a set in figures, i.e. to write it down. Certainly not suitable for quick tuning between two songs on stage, but a sure guarantee for being able to reproduce an optimum tuning once it has been found.

The Tama Tension Watch II is compact and easy to read. Its (removable) plastic ring ensures that the measuring tip is always at the same distance from the hoop when tuning. This makes it child’s play to set the same skin tension on every screw. The result is all-round perfect tuning for optimum sound.
