Practising drums quietly is always a challenge, especially when it comes to a quiet bass drum sound. A mesh head or a mute pad are common options, but swapping the head each time is time-consuming. Furthermore, both options lack naturalness and precision. That greatly hampers practice, making real progress in your footwork barely possible. To solve this problem, we developed the Soft Sound Beater. A quieter bass drum sound is now as simple as changing the beater on your pedal. The volume is significantly reduced while you can continue to use your usual bass drum pedal and your usual bass drum head. Of course you can use the TAMA Soft Sound Beater not only for practising but also for gigs where you need to cut the volume.
