The Meinl Sonic Energy Sensory Handpan is handcrafted from high-quality stainless steel with the utmost care and precision. In this way you can coax heavenly, room‑filling tones from it. This Sensory Handpan has a diameter of 22″ and is tuned to the popular D‑Amara scale (A4/a’ 440 Hz) with 9 notes. The pleasantly deep central fundamental is surrounded by eight tone fields that produce a pure and calming sound. On the underside of the Sensory Handpan there are two sound holes pointing in opposite directions to provide both the player and the listeners with a realistic sound image. All Sensory Handpans come with two removable Sound Tubes that let you alter the instrument’s acoustic properties to your liking. The longer Sound Tube is placed opposite the lower tones and the shorter opposite the higher tones.
