Like its sisters of the historic collection, also the ”modern” Les Paul Custom is built at the Gibson Custom Shop. In contrast to historic reissues, the Les Paul Custom has a maple top, weight reliefs and fretboard made of richlite or maple instead of ebony.
The tight tone of the Lews Paul Custom is favoured by many har/heavy rock or heavy metal players like John Sykes or the late Randy Rhoads.
