With the Spatial Delivery V2 pedal, EarthQuaker Devices has a sophisticated envelope filter with cool extras up its sleeve. The pedal is based on a resonant filter that can be controlled by velocity – fat wah sounds with the ultimate ”quack” are no problem. The Up and Down switches determine the direction of the wah effect: Up opens the filter, Down reverses the filter effect. But the craziest thing is the middle position of the mini switch: SH activates a sample and hold effect – random, rhythmic patterns control the filter. The footswitch can also be used as a momentary switch – the effect is only activated while the button is pressed, which is ideal for processing individual notes or phrases. The true bypass switching is done via a noise-free soft-touch footswitch.
