Product information ”Boss JB-2”
On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the compact pedals, Boss has already brought out some cool special pedals. The latest coup is the JB-2 Angry Driver. For the first time, Boss has collaborated with a hip boutique pedal manufacturer. Josh Scott, mastermind of JHS Pedals, has been an avowed Boss fan for years. In an interview he said that the repair of a defective Boss Blues Driver was his entry into the pedal business. Through his friendship with Boss president Yoshi Ikegami, the idea was born to create a joint effects pedal. They decided on a combination of the Blues Driver and the popular JHS Angry Charly pedal. The Blues Driver is a real classic: low to medium overdrive, clear, accentuated basic sound and very good dynamics characterise the Boss pedal. The 2nd candidate on board is the legendary Angry Charlie – an amp in a box pedal with a distinctly British flavour – from low gain overdrive to crunch to 80s hot rodded plexi board. The highlight of the JB-2 pedal is the wide range of routing options: each section can be operated alone, in parallel or in series with a changeable sequence. There is also a connection for an optional footswitch which can be used to switch back and forth between the two sections.
