Adam Audio have launched the successors to the famous AX series and are introducing a new range of monitors with the new A series.

The A77H from Adam Audio is a 3-way active monitor with two 7″ woofers, a 3.5″ midrange driver and a 2″ tweeter. It can be used in a wide variety of rooms as it allows DSP-controlled frequency adjustments. These adjustments can be made directly via buttons on the rear panel or via Ethernet connection using the Control Remote software and room correction via Sonarworks. The woofers and midrange drivers offer more headroom than those of the AX series. A newly developed, multi-layered cone made of modern materials such as mineral fibres is used, which ensures high strength and therefore very clean sound reproduction. The well-known, precise X-Art ribbon tweeter is used for the high frequency spectrum. The HPS waveguide on the tweeter (familiar from Adam’s S series) ensures that disruptive first reflections from above and below are eliminated and a wide sweet spot is guaranteed. The tweeter and waveguide of the A77H can be rotated to allow horizontal or vertical positioning. However, horizontal placement is recommended.

The new A-Series from Adam offers three voicings that can be selected on the rear, which are tailored to the respective model and offer different sound characteristics. Pure is maximally neutral and ideal for mixing and mastering, UNR (Uniform Natural Response) offers a minimally coloured frequency response based on the AX series, which is well suited for producing, composing and demanding music enjoyment, and Ext (Extendet) is for external control via the Ethernet interface.
