The EMAD system consists of a single‑ply white head, 10 mil (0.25 mm) thick. Each Evans EMAD bass drumhead BD20EMAD – 20-inch also includes two externally mounted damping rings of different widths that allow you to greatly affect the sound. An enormous dynamic range and absolute control of the sound are the result of these optimally matched components. A black plastic ring serves as the mounting for the two supplied damping rings (6.3 mm thick, selectable 19 mm or 38 mm widths).
