The new Zoom H8 is a mobile phone recorder that is second to none. The 3-way app navigation for musicians, podcasters and sound designers on a colour touchscreen user interface offers flexible application options and intuitive smartphone-like operation.

The Zoom H8 has four XLR inputs, two XLR/TRS combo jacks and four capsule inputs and can record up to 12 tracks simultaneously. Internally, it offers many different effects such as lo-cut, gain, compression, EQ, noise gate limiter, etc. In addition, the H8 can be controlled remotely via iOS devices and custom effects can be loaded via the Guitar Labs software. (optional BTA-1 required)

Podcasters benefit from the four sound pads, which can be used to fire off sound effects such as applause or laughter.

The new Capsule System 2.0 consists of:

• XAH-8: Combined XY / AB microphone
• VRH-8: Ambisonic microphone
• EXH-8: Expansion capsule 4xXLR)

It offers compatibility with the capsules of the H6 and more independence and flexibility with new high-end microphone and input connections.
