This head is a normal single-ply 22″ EQ-4 bass drum head which is equipped with a permanently integrated damping ring. The speciality of this drumhead is the look. In the style of drumhead production in 1956, the year Evans was founded, the manufacturer offers several drumhead models from different series with a vintage look modelled on natural drumheads. The heads are nevertheless made of plastic and have the usual stability. The Remo Fiberskyn models, for example, are comparable to Evans Calftone’56.
